Aquasol is an environmentally friendly and cost-effective lead filter created to decrease adverse health outcomes associated with lead contamination of the water supply. The faucet-mounted filter uses an innovative combination of sodium alginate and coffee grounds to remove heavy metals from water. Aquasol reduces existing waste in the form of coffee grounds and prevents future waste that would otherwise occur as a result of plastic water bottles currently distributed to mitigate the lead crisis.
