We commission visual artists from South Bronx to design apparel for hip-hop artists. By doing so, we create quality products for the consumer, great merchandise for the artist, and better exposure and opportunities for the designer. Eventually, we hope to move all design and production to the South Bronx, making Made in South Bronx apparel more authentic to hip-hop fans. Apart from the music-driven component of this business, the other is the visual art of the apparel designs. We give the artists who created the designs a monetary commission on a per-unit-basis in addition to the opportunity to write their contact information on the price tags of the shirts. This will increase both their exposure as artists as well as their chance for further opportunities in the art industry.
