Entractiv was founded in February of 2018 as a smart-mirror company, In recent years, there has been a rapid movement toward IOT, or “Internet of Things,” devices. In 2017, this market surpassed the trillion-dollar market cap and is forecasted to reach 2 trillion dollars by 2020. IoT devices such as Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Samsung Refrigerators have become popular with near exponential growth amongst a wide audience. As an appliance with little change in over a century, a mirror provides the perfect opportunity to act as a ‘smart-home’ for both average residential consumers and the hospitality market. Taking into account the numerous possible benefits in health, productivity, and information-distribution, Entractiv smart mirrors have the potential to touch the lives of individuals across the world.
