Community Liaison

Shivani is a sophomore majoring in Cell Biology and Neuroscience with a minor in Nutrition. Along with being a Community Liaison, she is also serving as a site leader through the Department of Leadership and Experiential Learning and has been involved in a computational chemistry research lab. She loves health and fitness, traveling, concerts, and dogs. In the future she has goals of becoming a pediatrician, and further along the line wants to pursue a teaching degree to become an elementary school teacher when she’s older.

Sruti Cheruvu is the Liaison Coordinator and the Community Liaison for the Sojourner Truth Apartments. She is a senior in the School of Arts and Sciences majoring in Cell Biology and Neuroscience (CBN). She is very involved in both the Honors College and Douglass Residential College and has experience in research through Project SUPER and the Douglass STEM summer stipend program. At the Honors College, Sruti has also been involved with Rutgers Alternative Breaks. Outside of the Honors College, she is a fellow for Rutgers University Women in Neuroscience (RUWINS), where she organizes monthly seminars for visiting female neuroscientists. Sruti also loves reading, performing at Coffeehouses, exploring new places.

Danielle is a senior in the School of Arts and Sciences majoring in Exercise Science and minoring in Nutrition. Besides serving as a Community Liaison for the B.E.S.T community with the Honors College, Danielle is also involved in the Department of Leadership and Experiential Learning and ODASIS. She enjoys exercising, eating, watching all types of entertainment, and chatting.

Priya is a sophomore on the pre-med track pursuing interests in Philosophy and Biology. In addition to her role as a Community Liaison at Thomas Suites, Priya is researching developments in personalized cancer care through the Biomedical Engineering department and works at a pediatrician’s office. Priya loves photography, astrology (she’s a Sagittarius!), and hugs.

Karen is a School of Arts and Sciences junior majoring in Math, Linguistics, and Cognitive Science with aspirations of entering academia in one of those subjects. Besides her role as Community Liaison for the Newell Apartments, Karen is involved on campus as an intern for linguistic research, an Honors College Ambassador, and as Treasurer of the Creative Writing Club. In her spare time, you can find her rock climbing and swing dancing.

Caroline is a sophomore majoring in Cognitive Science and Political Science. In addition to her role as a Community Liaison for Campbell Hall, she is a member of the Honors College Student Wellness Committee and the Vice President of Troop RU, where she plans programs for local Girl Scouts. She enjoys drawing, reading, and painting.

Miguel is a sophomore majoring in Finance and Math, hoping to pursue a career in Quantitative Finance. Outside of being the Community Liaison for Thomas Suites, Miguel works as a Junior Analyst for the Student Managed Fund and as the External Operations Officer for the Quantitative Finance Club. Additionally, Miguel is an active member of Enactus, currently developing the legal infrastructure to assist companies in applying for their non-profit status.

Nivedita is a sophomore majoring in Biotechnology. In addition to her role on the Community Outreach Team for the Student Wellness Committee, she conducts research through the Department of Genetics. She is also an HC Ally First-Year Mentor and a Douglass Red Pine Ambassador. In her free time, she enjoys painting, watching movies and listening to music.
