Honors College Scholarships

Need-based, Study Abroad/ Study Away, and Research Awards

To be considered for one of our scholarships (in three categories: need-based, study abroad or study away, or research) you must apply in the Fall Semester by December 1. Notification of our decision will take place in January of the Spring Semester and the award will be applied to your Spring account.

Please note, that this is the same application that you will use to apply for program-specific awards, including LGBTQ+ Learning Collaborative Study Abroad and Research Awards.

In special circumstances, we may allow an off-cycle award for confirmed study abroad or research.

For the 2025–2026 academic year, Honors College students (sophomores and above) from any major program of study are eligible and encouraged to apply. For further information and scholarship application, please use the following link:

Application is currently CLOSED. Application opens October 25 and closes December 01 each year.

Emergency Funding

If you experience an emergency situation where you are in need of immediate support and a quick infusion of funding, such as a medical emergency, theft, lost purse or wallet, injury or accident, or something of a similar nature, you may reach out to us for assistance by applying for our Honors College Emergency Fund grant.

Please note: this is only for true emergencies; systemic changes in family income, sibling enrollment in college, failure to file the FAFSA, a late scholarship application, and other similar situations do not constitute emergencies.

The Emergency Funding application remains open year-round.

School-based Merit and Need-based Scholarships

Not all aid comes through the Honors College. Students should also reach out to the designated scholarship officer within their academic School. The information on who to contact and what you need to do can be found on this page: additional funding for current students and serve as a guide for you to seek out multiple sources of aid and financial support.
