International students (students with an F-1 or J-1 visa) and Gen HC participants are welcome to move in early. Plan to bring your own collapsible bins or large bags that are able to be easily carried, as there may be limited availability of moving bins and move-in volunteers.

Floor Meeting & Changemaking Community Kickoff for First Year Students
Meet your Resident Assistant and Changemaking Mentor and head to your floor meetings. During this mandatory meeting, you will learn about the residential student experience, programs, and policies, as well as our Changemaking Community Pillars.

New Student Convocation
Meet with your Resident Assistant at 12:30 pm to travel to the New Student Convocation ceremony at 1:00 pm. Rutgers University--New Brunswick invites all incoming students to New Student Convocation held on campus each fall. This event formally welcomes our newest students to the Rutgers University community and features speeches by students and administrators, as well as performances by several performing arts groups including the Rutgers Glee Club.
