Honors College students pursue a variety of professional opportunities and preparation for advanced education with the support of the Rutgers community, the Rutgers Office of Career Exploration and Success (CES), alumni, and employers. Following a student's first-year, they are eligible to receive an invitation to the Honors College LinkedIn group to connect with the Honors College network of individuals pursuing various opportunities. In our LinkedIn group, students and Honors College alumni can learn more about how to build portfolios of skills and experiences that will prepare them for careers with purpose.
Honors College students can utilize several resources to research and connect with internships, part-time positions, jobs, research opportunities, and other portfolio building opportunities:
- Weekly opportunity emails including internships, jobs, networking events, scholarships, skill and knowledge-building opportunities, conferences, competitions, and more
- Advising sessions at the Honors College, Pre-Law Advising, Health Professions Office, Rutgers Office of Career Exploration and Success (CES), and academic and program departments throughout campus
- Micro-Internships can be accessed through the Parker Dewey platform, providing Honors College students with access to short-term, paid, professional assignments that are similar to those given to new hires or interns
