Delta Scholars - Are you Rutgers Honors College’s next Delta Scholar?

Come and hear from Rutgers’ first two Delta Scholars about their experience as a part of one of the nation’s most unique fellowship programs, in which participants work in the Mississippi Delta Region, as well as at Harvard University Law and T.H. Chan School of Public Health, to provide medical, legal, political, and economic access to residents of one of the nation’s most impoverished regions.    

Each year Rutgers Honors College is guaranteed one participant (a rising junior) in this pathbreaking and high-impact program. 

Changemaking Conversations: Restorative Wellness

This wellness space focuses on restorative justice as a framework for well-being. Restorative justice is a process that facilitates community engagement and communication across different lived experiences. The process has been used for centuries in Indigenous communities and offers a less punitive approach to resolving conflicts. Massage therapists will be available for 15-minute chair massages on a first-come, first-serve basis.

HC Speaks x Affirmative Action

HC Speaks is a student-led club that holds intentional conversations on controversial topics. From the legalization of marijuana to AI, HC Speaks has engaged students of all opinions on difficult topics. Come and discuss national policies and impact of affirmative action concerning equity in college admissions and job hiring. This event features Faculty Fellow, Dr. Douglas Cantor. Students who attend will receive two Changemaking Points.

Strength in Safety: Self-Defense Workshop

Join us for an interactive workshop led by Sgt. Marlise Correa with the Rutgers University Police Department, the Rutgers University Police Department, where you’ll gain practical self-defense skills and essential personal safety tips. Connect with fellow students and meet university police representatives while building confidence and learning valuable techniques—plus, all attended will be entered into our raffle giveaway and be eligible to receive one Changemaking point!

Join us for an evening of creativity and connection at our Intercultural Identity Paint and Sip! Enjoy mocktails, free prizes, and guided painting as we explore personal identity and celebrate cultural diversity—all while earning 2 Changemaking Points! Connect with friends, de-stress, and discover how art can support your wellness journey.

HC Film Appreciation Series: "MILK" with the LGBTQ+ Collaborative

Join Changemaking Mentor James and Faculty Fellow Trip McCrossin, in collaboration with the LGBTQ+ Collaborative, for a screening of MILK, based on the true story of Harvey Milk, the first openly gay man ever elected to public office. In San Francisco in the late 1970s, Milk becomes an activist for gay rights and inspires others to join him in his fight for equal rights that should be available to all Americans. Catering from Giddy's Pizza & Cafe will be provided.

HC Thrift Swap

Join the Honors College and Residence Life for a 1:1 thrift swap on November 20th in Druskin Lounge! If you'd like to participate, donate your clothes in the drop-box located in the HC Administrative Suite open weekdays 8:30am-4:30pm, scan the QR code displayed on the drop-off box, and complete the form to let us know what you donated.
