Taqiya Ehsan is a second-year PhD student in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Rutgers University. Taqiya's doctoral studies involve advancing multimodal research for smart spaces, utilizing principles of Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, and Causal Reasoning. Taqiya completed her undergrad in ECE and CS at Rutgers through the Honors College. Outside of academics, Taqiya has held leadership roles in Residence Life, Society of Women Engineers, and the Honors College, mentored first-year female engineers, and worked as a Learning Assistant. Currently, Taqiya Ehsan works as an Academic Coach at the Learning Centers and is the President of the ECE Graduate Students Association.
