Reem Alatrash
Molecular biosciences program

Reem Alatrash is a second year PhD student in the Molecular Biosciences program at Rutgers University. I'm interested in developing vaccines against epidemic viruses. I'm studying now the role of adaptive immunity upon viral infections. I had a master's degree at Kazan Federal University in Russia in Genetics, and by then I was working on a stem cell-based therapy for Multiple Sclerosis. I studied biomedical science for my undergraduate degree at Damascus University in Syria, where I was born. I have been a histology and morphology instructor and teaching assistant for first year medical students in Kazan State Medical University. I'm happy to provide my knowledge and experience to other students, this one of my goals in life.
