Enrolling Students

Welcome to the Honors College!

We're so glad you're joining us. We want to share some of the special things about the Honors College that you can look forward to:

The Honors College Forum

An unparalleled and intensive experience where you'll learn how to transform your ideas into action and become global citizens.

Honors College Traditions

  • Coffeehouse, monthly student performances by virtuosos and beginners alike in a fun, judgment-free zone.
  • Geek Week, an annual evening of themed crafting, treats, and lectures (past events: Harry Potter, Marvel, and Star Wars).
  • Welcome Days, a full weekend of activities to help you meet new friends and get acquainted with the Honors College and Rutgers overall.

Getting Involved

From community service to affinity groups, clubs, and student leadership opportunities, there are so many ways to get involved.

Life at the HC

To read about student experiences, check out our HC Student Blog and weekly student newsletter, Inside the Honors College, and follow us on social media—FacebookTwitter, and Instagram. Check out our Social Media webpage for more information about each platform.

Your Honors College Home

See a dorm room, the Fireside Lounge with a coffee bar and piano, the North Lounge with a pool table and more, and our Makerspace where you can tinker and create.

A Network of Support

Within the Honors College, you'll have access to academic and professional development advisers, mentors in residence, our wellness counselor, resident assistants, Faculty Fellows, and the deans and entire HC staff.

A deep commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion so that all may thrive.

Opportunities like study abroad, internships, research, and much, much more.

In short, you'll be living the Honors College motto—Curiosity. Knowledge. Purpose.—and fulfilling the oath:

"Where there is something to learn, I will explore. Where there is a new voice, I will listen. Where there is a need, I will help."

Next Steps

To help you prepare for college this fall, we've provided a checklist on your enrollment pathway, which includes information about activating your NetID, ScarletMail, placement testing, housing, orientation, the advising process, and many other things you'll need to know and do. Watch for emails throughout the spring and summer with additional important information.
