Welcome Days

Incoming Honors College students are invited to participate in Welcome Days, a multi-day, early arrival experience full of academic and social programs. The Honors College Induction Ceremony and Summer Reading program are a part of Welcome Days, as well as programs coordinated by the Mentors in Residence and Student Advisory Board.

Lunch On Your Own

Enjoy lunch with your family at one of the delicious options in the area! Feel free to stay on campus and try the dining hall on College Avenue (Brower Commons), the food court in the College Avenue Student Center, or one of the options located at The Yard, just underneath The Sojourner Truth Apartments. If you prefer to go off campus, there are several great restaurants on Easton Avenue and in downtown New Brunswick.

Floor Meeting

University Convocation and Carnivale

Meet with your Resident Assistant at a specified location to travel to the New Student Convocation ceremony.  Rutgers University–New Brunswick invites all incoming students to New Student Convocation held on campus each fall. This event formally welcomes our newest students to the Rutgers University community and features speeches by students and administrators, as well as performances by several performing arts groups including the Rutgers Glee Club.
