At the Honors College, students have the opportunity to see and hear works of art and to experience new and creative ways of looking at the world. Recent day trips have included places like the Storm King Art Center where more than 100 striking sculptures are part of the landscape across fields, hills, and woodlands in the lower Hudson Valley; The Barnes in Philadelphia, which holds one of the finest collections of Post-Impressionist and early Modern paintings; and the New York Philharmonic where students heard works by Beethoven, Mozart, and Britten and had a backstage pass to meet the conductor, Jaap van Zweden.
