First-year commuters and students living in other communities on campus are welcome to join their Honors Community Mentors for dinner and a Community Kickoff. During this mandatory meeting, you will learn about the commuter and extended community experience, programs and policies, as well as our Honors College student success learning objectives

First-year commuter, off-campus, and extended community students (those living on campus in non-honors housing) can visit the 5 Seminary Place North Lounge from 3:30-5:30pm to meet their Community Mentors and receive their welcome gift.

Head down College Avenue to get involved with Rutgers at large by visiting the tables of over 400 student organizations, university departments, and community partners. This event is open to all students.

Connect with your designated Honors Community Mentor to share concerns, ask questions, or just to have a conversation!

Learn about involvement with our student-led affinity groups! The Honors College Affinity Group Leaders provide opportunities for all students to engage in collective support and exploration of cultures and identities, regardless of their own. The groups are open to all Honors College students (and their guests) and hold a strong connection to the Asian, Black, Latinx, LGBTQ+, Middle Eastern, and International Student (Rutgers Global) cultural centers.

Join us to learn how you can become involved and gain access to special networking events, research, internships, and more. Don’t miss out- there will be food and giveaways!
