Grad School Personal Statement Workshop: Faculty Fellows Drs. Syrett and Kitzinger

If you're applying to graduate school, chances are you are either starting to write or are thinking about how to craft your personal statement for applications. Join two Honors College faculty fellows, Dr. Kitzinger and Dr. Syrett, as well as HC Graduate Mentors who are full-time Rutgers doctoral students, for a workshop on how to write a personal statement that will strengthen your application, as well as address concerns you may have about the graduate school application process.

Annual HC First-year Resume & LinkedIn Workshop

Every Fall, Honors College 1st-year's kickoff their college career by revamping or creating their resumes and LinkedIn profiles to prepare for applications in research labs, internships, competitions, and student organizations.

Whether you already have a resume and LinkedIn profile or are starting from scratch- the Honors College Scholar Peer Mentors are here to guide you through the creation and updating process.

Following the main presentation, students will have the opportunity to join small groups or 1:1's for personal assistance on their own materials.

Build Your e-Portfolio

Build Your e-Portfolio with Wix

An e-portfolio is a high-impact practice that is particularly helpful to begin early in your honors education. By creating an e-portfolio, you can collect your work over time, reflecting on your personal and academic growth and making connections between your education experiences and co-curriculars. This is a wonderful way for you to share your progress with professors, advisors, potential employers, and mentors.

Networking Through Golf Clinic

HC Networking Through Golf Clinic

Networking and business deals frequently occur on the golf course, but many people either do not have experience golfing, have never been invited to a ‘seat at the table’ for these types of networking opportunities, or feel uncomfortable joining in because of a lack of familiarity with the sport.
