New Student Convocation

Meet with your Resident Assistant at 12:30 pm to travel to the New Student Convocation ceremony at 1:00 pm. Rutgers University--New Brunswick invites all incoming students to New Student Convocation held on campus each fall. This event formally welcomes our newest students to the Rutgers University community and features speeches by students and administrators, as well as performances by several performing arts groups including the Rutgers Glee Club.

All new Honors College students will attend the Welcome and Induction Ceremony! You’ll hear words of wisdom from the HC deans and students, write a  note to yourself in four years, and officially embark on this new adventure. We’re so excited to share this journey with you!

Get to know your floor mates over dinner! Head to the College Avenue Student Center Atrium with your Changemaking Mentor and Resident Assistant at your assigned dinner times.

6:10 pm - 4th floor South & Thomas Suites
6:30 pm - 3rd floor South & East
6:50 pm - 3rd floor North & 2nd floor North
7:10 pm - 2nd floor East & South

First-Year Student Move-In

Welcome to Rutgers University and the Honors College! Pick up your key from your Resident Assistants, then head to your assigned room to unpack, unwind, and meet your Changemaking Mentor, roommate, and floormates.
