Honors Community Move-In

Welcome to Rutgers University and the Honors Community! Pick up your key from your Resident Assistants and head to your assigned room to unpack, unwind, and meet your Honors Community Mentor, roommate and floormates. Specific move-times and details can be found below for those moving in on Monday, August 25.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service

The New Brunswick Department of Human and Community Services, with sponsorship from the Rutgers Honors College - New Brunswick, invites you to participate in its Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service on January 24th at the Hub Center, 411 Joyce Kilmer Ave. Activities include preparing and bagging lunches, community conversations, assembling hygiene kits, and networking opportunities. For more information, call (732)745-5010. This opportunity is eligible for HC Serves hours.

Rock Your Roots: Celebrating Black History Month

Join us to honor the past, celebrate the legacy, and uplift Black history together through a panel discussion, performances, and presentations. Dr. Priscilla Ferreira, an Afro-Brazilian geographer who works on solidarity economies, is a scholar-activist who will discuss the power and complexities of what it means to be Black in this moment. HC Faculty Fellow Dr. Nicole Burrowes will give a mini lecture on the history of "Black History Month." There will also be a Black history slideshow and student leader panelists will lead a discussion.
