The Honors College LGBTQ+ Learning Collaborative is “Coming Out” with its very-own Launch Party! Hear from keynote speakers Dr. James Dougherty (Rutgers Board of Governors), Jane Clementi (Co-Founder of the Tyler Clementi Foundation), and a student panel of LGBTQ+ students and allies.

The New Brunswick Department of Human and Community Services, with sponsorship from the Rutgers Honors College - New Brunswick, invites you to participate in its Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service on January 24th at the Hub Center, 411 Joyce Kilmer Ave. Activities include preparing and bagging lunches, community conversations, assembling hygiene kits, and networking opportunities. Join us to honor the past, celebrate the legacy, and uplift Black history together through a panel discussion, performances, and presentations. Dr. Priscilla Ferreira, an Afro-Brazilian geographer who works on solidarity economies, is a scholar-activist who will discuss the power and complexities of what it means to be Black in this moment. HC Faculty Fellow Dr. Nicole Burrowes will give a mini lecture on the history of "Black History Month." There will also be a Black history slideshow and student leader panelists will lead a discussion.
