Annual HC First-year Resume & LinkedIn Workshop

Every Fall, Honors College 1st-year's kickoff their college career by revamping or creating their resumes and LinkedIn profiles to prepare for applications in research labs, internships, competitions, and student organizations.

Whether you already have a resume and LinkedIn profile or are starting from scratch- the Honors College Scholar Peer Mentors are here to guide you through the creation and updating process.

Bachata Night

Come and learn the basics of Bachata dance which has its origins in the Dominican Republic. This workshop is led by the RU Bachata Club and hosted by Honors College Faculty Fellow Dr. Burrowes, and is for all levels. No dance experience is necessary. Come by and dance!

Back-To-School Bingo Night

Need some extra college essentials or forgot some before moving in? Join the Honors College community for a Back-To-School Bingo Night for a chance to win prizes like stationery, a coffee maker, bluetooth speaker, and more dorm essentials! Limit to 200 guests; first come, first serve.

Beanies for Babies

We are at it again! Come destress and Crochet for a Cause! Crochet Beanies for Babies to help keep their heads warm this winter!

New to crochet? We’ll teach you the ropes (well, yarn 😉).  Complete beginners and all skill levels are welcome. This will be a guided experience – pop by, crochet a bit, or stay and loop the whole afternoon away. ✨ Every stitch spreads love. All hats will be donated to Prevent Child Abuse NJ Snacks and swag also provided!

Brunch with Carole Raddato

​​​​​​Join Carole Raddato, one of the most prolific photographers of antiquity, for a brunch at the Honors College Druskin Lounge at 10:30am on April 30th. Students of Classics, Art History, History, and related disciplines are especially invited to attend to talk to Carole Raddato and learn about her work. This event is sponsored by the Rutgers University Classics Department.

By creating an e-portfolio, you can collect your work over time, reflecting on your personal and academic growth and making connections between your education experiences and co-curriculars. This is a wonderful way for you to share your progress with professors, advisors, potential employers, and mentors.

Candlelight in the Courtyard

Join the Changemaking Mentors as we dive deep into our identities! We will explore the depths of our religious backgrounds and how it influences our modern world today. There will be speakers that will present their views and perspectives, then a candlelight ceremony at the end. Earn 2 Changemaking Points, and make your own ice cream sandwich at the end!
