Master Class: Intro to Law School with Distinguished Alum Richard Kent, Esq.

 

In this two-part Master Class on Law, Richard Kent, Esq., will guide you through fundamental aspects of law and case examples so that you understand how concepts translate to the real world. This introduction to law will help you assess whether law is an area you would like to further study or practice in and if you chose to venture on to law school it will give you a foundation to understand the law education you are about to embark upon.

Every Fall, Honors College 1st-year's kickoff their college career by revamping or creating their resumes and LinkedIn profiles to prepare for applications in research labs, internships, competitions, and student organizations.

Whether you already have a resume and LinkedIn profile or are starting from scratch- the Honors College Scholar Peer Mentors are here to guide you through the creation and updating process.

Following the main presentation, students will have the opportunity to join small groups or 1:1's for personal assistance on their own materials.

This workshop explores the five senses (Sight, Hearing, Taste, Touch, and Smell) to assist in mindfulness and relaxation. There are five different breathing exercises that will us each of your senses to meditate. This workshop does require that you have access to a flavored beverage or snack, a fragrance of your liking, a tactile object that you like to touch, and pencil and paper.
