Cross-Cultural Competency course
The Cross-Cultural Competency course (CCC) was born out of student advocacy with a goal of advancing understanding of and engagement with the pursuit of equity, inclusion, and belonging throughout Rutgers and the wider community. The class is a discussion-based interdisciplinary examination aimed at promoting inclusive excellence.
Lessons on the Road to Peace with John Noltner
Since he last visited Rutgers campus in 2020, award-winning photographer John Noltner has driven 45,000 miles across the United States, compiling interviews and photographs of diverse human voices in his multimedia art project: A Peace of My Mind. From stories of immigration along the southern border, to land loss in the Louisiana bayou, to housing security in Los Angeles, John seeks out human stories that focus on using storytelling to build community, reconnect us with humanity, and bridge divides.
Rutgers Award-Winning Invention Aims to Reinvent Drug Delivery
An interdisciplinary team of Rutgers Honors College alumni and students has become one of the first from the Honors College Innovation Lab to bring their social innovation to the public sphere. To-date, the team has been awarded a patent and won more than $90,000 in seed money, including $63,500 this spring as part of the Schulze Entrepreneurship Challenge.
