Exploring the Meaning of Peace One Story at a Time: A Transformative Experience
This February at the Honors College, I found myself face to face with strangers. And although none could directly speak to me, I was able to learn much from them about compassion, forgiveness, transformation, and peace. These strangers were featured on 60 3’ by 7’upright panels displayed throughout the Honors College in a stunningly intimate exhibit.

The Honors College Academic Showcase will feature a variety of formats—pitches, TED Talk-like presentations, posters, academic sessions—for selected HC students to present their academic projects.

Capstone Proposals DUE
Students who plan to graduate one semester early must submit a Capstone Proposal Form by November 1 in the academic year prior to the year of graduation.

The Honors College Springs to Life on Move-In Day!
At 7:59am, members of the Rutgers student Move-in Team lined the sidewalk in front of the Honors College, pulling along with them red and gray moving bins amidst the gentle silence of early morning. The overcast sky and light breeze lent the atmosphere a somber tone, with an air of anticipation.

As I watched and listened, the students got the feedback they’d been waiting for. After a year or more of hard work, almost fifty soon-to-graduate researchers, investigators, and creators were finishing up presentations of their projects at the annual Honors College Capstone Showcase on April 12, 2019.
Congratulations to the Winners of the Spring 2019 Forum Pitch Competition
Fifteen teams were chosen by peers this spring to present at the Forum plenary before a panel of judges from business and academia and approximately 250 peers. Congratulations to all of the teams who presented and to the six teams who placed—three chosen by the judges and a different three chosen by peers!
