Should I Apply for Housing Before Applying for HCM?

The Honors Community Mentor application and selection process will conclude by March, after the Continuing Student Housing selection process. The Honors College advises all students interested in the HCM position to apply for housing via Residence Life if they would like to live on-campus and are unsure if they will be selected for the HCM role; if you do not wish to live on-campus unless it is within an Honors Community Mentor role, we do not encourage you to apply for on-campus housing.

If selected to become a residential Honors Community Mentor, the Honors College and Residence Life will work with all selected HCMs in arranging their new housing placement. Please let your potential roommates know that you may be pulled out of their housing group if you are applying for and ultimately selected for the HCM position. More information about Continuing Student Housing in Honors Communities can be found here.
