Tomiwa Johnson Oyedokun did his undergraduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta in Nigeria where he graduated with First Class Honors and he did his master's degree in Food Technology and Human Nutrition at the University of Agriculture in Krakow, Poland. He is a awardee several scholarships, including the Rutgers Goyette Family Scholarship, the Polish Government Scholarship, and the Mastercard Foundation Scholarship Award. He is now pursuing his PhD in Nutritional Biochemistry and Physiology at Rutgers where he works in Dr. Diana Roopchand’s lab. His research focuses on investigating how cannabidiol can influence lipid metabolism and insulin secretion in cell culture and mouse models of postmenopause or E2 deficiency. He is passionate about mentoring undergraduate students, helping them to secure graduate scholarships, fellowships and academic success.
