Myah Rios

Myah Rios

Myah Rios (HC '22) is a junior majoring in Biotechnology with a specialization in microbiology. She is an undergraduate research assistant at the Center for Advanced Biotechnology and Medicine doing research on the human microbiome. In addition to this, she is on the club Field Hockey team, a member of the Food Science Club, and writes for GreenPrint Magazine. Myah chose the Honors College because she liked how it was interdisciplinary and a mix of all schools.

Myera Mian (HC '23) is a sophomore majoring in Business Analytics and Information Technology and minoring in Biology from East Brunswick, New Jersey. She is on the E-Board for the Muslim Student Association and is a member of the current cohort of the Diversity Peer Educator Program at the Honors College. She is also a part of the Innovation Lab course through the Honors College. Her favorite aspect about the Honors College is the close interactions students have with the professional staff as they truly provide students with an abundance of resources and opportunities and push them to pursue new endeavors.

Nick Sweeney

Nick Sweeney

Nick Sweeney (HC '22) is a junior in the School of Arts and Sciences studying Biological Sciences with minors in Economics and Women’s and Gender Studies with aspirations of going to medical school. At the Honors College, he has been a mentor in residence and is now a facilitator for the LGBTQ affinity group. Outside of the Honors College, he is involved with Rutgers Dance marathon. Nick chose the HC because of the community feel and the opportunities.

Sydney Jenkins (HC '22) is a junior majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a Certificate in Packaging Engineering. Outside of volunteering with Honors College Ambassadors, at Rutgers she is currently serving as a Site Leader for the HC Serves Leadership Team, Secretary for the service-based organization Engineers in Action, and a tutor through the Office of Student Services. One of her favorite HC memories is staying up late to play board games in the 2 North Lounge!

Winnie Zhu (HC '23) is a sophomore majoring in Finance and Economics from Livingston, New Jersey. At Rutgers, she is a competitor on the Rutgers Mock Trial team and a cohort member in the Road to Wall Street program. Winnie chose the HC because it gave her the tight-knit, supportive community she was looking for at a large school like Rutgers.
