Sofia Lake is a junior majoring in Computer Science with minors in Physics, Creative Writing, and Art, hoping to combine her interdisciplinary background to work in animation. Apart from serving as Secretary of the Student Advisory Board, she is an Aresty Peer Instructor, an HC Ambassador, a member of the Rutgers Performing Dance Company, and is a member of the professional and social sorority Alpha Omega Epsilon. Outside of academics and clubs, Sofia enjoys art, reading, and movie nights.

Ambassadors

Honors Ambassadors are current students who share their experiences and stories with prospective students and their families. Ambassadors volunteer in providing tours of the honors spaces at 5 Seminary Place, connecting with prospective students at events such as showcases, open house, and other special on and off campus events, and sometimes representing Rutgers Honors at their former high schools.

Abhi (HC '22) is a junior at Rutgers Business School majoring in Finance and Economics, originally from North Brunswick, NJ. He is a member of the Road to Wall Street Program and the Student Managed Fund. He enjoys playing volleyball and tennis and is a novice rock climber.

Alex Nguyen (HC '21) is a senior majoring in Supply Chain Management and Business Analytics and Information Technology (BAIT), with minors in Mathematics and Italian. He is from Old Bridge, New Jersey, around 25 minutes from Rutgers. On campus, Alex is a Resident Assistant for first-year students, a Build Manager for Habitat for Humanity, and a sustainability advocate as part of the social entrepreneurship club Enactus. Alex chose the HC for its focus on interdisciplinary education.

Ethan Lim (HC '22) is a Junior majoring in Pharmacy from Somerset, New Jersey. At Rutgers, he is a Co-Chair for the Student National Pharmaceutical Association, a member of the NJ Society of Health System Pharmacists, a pharmacy mentor, and a tutor for the SAS Honors Program. Ethan’s favorite memory of the HC is the time power went out (due to a squirrel) and a building-wide game of hide-and-seek ensued.

Zoë (HC ‘23) is a SEBS student majoring in biological sciences. On campus, she is also part of the Douglass Residential College and RU Thrifty (an organization that promotes sustainable fashion choices). With the HC Media Team, she primarily contributes as a videographer. She enjoys creating content that people can connect with and finds her involvement in the Media Team to be a wonderful way of utilizing her passion for creativity. In her spare time, she can be found caring for her succulents, listening to music, and playing the guitar or ukulele.

Amy Narakornpichit (HC '21) is a senior majoring in Biomedical Engineering from Warren, New Jersey. At Rutgers she is involved with research in the biomedical engineering department and is on the E-Board for Alpha Eta Mu Beta (Biomedical Engineering Honor Society). She is also on the E-Board for her sorority, Alpha Gamma Delta. Off campus, she works as an EMT for Watchung Rescue Squad. Amy chose the HC for its interdisciplinary living-learning community!

Hannah Oliveira (HC '22) is a junior majoring in Exercise Science and minoring in Health & Society and Women's & Gender Studies on a Pre-Med track from Livingston, NJ. At Rutgers, she is involved in club soccer, her sorority, Sigma Delta Tau, and is a member of the IWL (Institute for Women's Leadership) Leadership Scholars Program. Hannah's favorite thing about Rutgers is trying new food on Easton Ave and George St!

Bell Tseng (HC '21) is a senior from the San Francisco Bay Area, California, majoring in Linguistics and minoring in Business & Technical Writing. She is on the e-board for the Youth Empowerment Club, Pediatric Pharmacy Association, and Rainbow Pines; she is also a tutor with the Digital Writing Center. One of her favorite HC memories is taking over a seminar room with friends for a midnight movie marathon.

Jacob Shelton

Jake Shelton (HC '23) is a sophomore in the School of Arts and Sciences. He is currently studying marine biology. At Rutgers, he is involved in Navy ROTC and serves as an E-board member on the Rutgers SCUBA diving club. Jake chose the HC because of the tight-knit community and support from the staff and deans.
