Genetic Counseling Career

Genetics is the fundamental unit of life. Therefore, understanding genetics is crucial for any healthcare professional or researcher studying human disease. Dr. Heiman’s presentation will provide an overview of the Undergraduate Genetics Major at Rutgers University, detailing its academic structure, research opportunities, and career prospects for graduates. He will discuss the type of student who should consider majoring in genetics. This includes those who plan to pursue a career in healthcare, including physicians, dentists, physician’s assistants, and genetic counselors.

Grad School Personal Statement Workshop with Faculty Fellow Dr. Kristen Syrett

Are you applying to graduate school? Do you need help with your personal statement? Dr. Kristen Syrett, one of our HC Faculty Fellows, and Professor and Chair of Linguistics, will provide you with guidance to tailor your statement and provide you with tips to help make your statement stand out and catch the attention of the admissions committee. You will then meet with current Rutgers doctoral students (students who were successful in their grad school applications!) in small groups for specialized guidance.

Join the Honors Programming Committee and Rutgers IEEE to learn about ML/AI opportunities. Food and refreshments will be served.

Honors Bus Trip to the Museum of the City of New York

Join fellow Honors students for a day trip to the Museum of the City of New York! The trip includes a guided tour of Raise Your Voice, an exhibition exploring four ways activists have created change throughout New York City’s history: demonstrations, organizing, art and media, and direct action.

The $5 event fee includes round-trip transportation and admission.

Space is available to Honors College students on a first-come, first-served basis, and your spot is guaranteed once payment is completed.

Honors College Capstone Workshop 1

Join Dean Bowers for a workshop surrounding the Honors College Capstone requirement. This workshop is mandatory for all Spring 2025 and Summer 2025 graduates.
