The Honors College presents the first-ever sophomore class trip, hosted by the Community Liaisons and Student Advisory Board. Join your friends for a night of community, fun, and connection at the Turtle Back Zoo’s holiday lights display. Meet at the Honors College to ride the bus with other members of the sophomore class, and return in time to enjoy the final Coffeehouse of the semester.

HC-DRC Homecoming: Farewell to the 2010s

Join us on December 7th for an HC-DRC homecoming to remember! Catch up with friends as we celebrate the past decade and bring in the new with throwback music, games, food, prizes, and more! Dress is semi-formal. 8-10 pm, Druskin Lounge, Honors College. Hosted by DHCC. Open to HC-DRC women from ALL CLASS YEARS, including alumni. Please RSVP below by December 1st.

If you’re curious or confused about finding a home for next year, come join us for an information session on all things housing! There will be a student panel of Community Liaisons and current HC sophomores who will talk about their sophomore year housing experiences and be available to answer any questions you may have. This event will also be held at the same time and location on Tuesday, December 3.

Women on the Rise 2020 Summit

Join Douglass Honors College Coalition and Diversity Peer Educators for Women on the Rise 2020, a modern professional development summit. As we move into the new decade, our objective is to empower college women with the skills needed to navigate the workplace and academia. Led by a panel of trailblazing HC women, we’ll explore how to obtain research, score an internship, apply to graduate school and more! Everyone from all class years is welcome. Lunch provided. 

AAPIs in Hollywood: HC Speaks X Active Allyship

Through an open forum, students will have the opportunity to discuss the successes behind recent films such as Crazy Rich Asians, Minari, and Shang-Chi. We will explore the underrepresentation of Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders in Hollywood, as well as the stereotypes and caricatures associated with this community onscreen. This event will count for 2 Changemaking Points.

Not Your High School Sex Ed Class: An LGBTQ+ Inclusive Workshop

Join your HC Community for an evening focused on everything sex! There will be talks by campus organizations focusing on topics such as consent, safe sex, and communication, sex-themed games, and raffles. This is an LGBTQ+ inclusive event and is a safe space. All attendees will receive safe sex goody bags and 2 Changemaking Points.

Homecoming Cleanup

Off-Campus Living and Community Partnerships and the Honors College invite you to help clean up New Brunswick near College Avenue with the HC Serves Leadership Team! We will be meeting on Sunday, October 10th in the Druskin Lounge. Check-in will begin at 1:30 PM and the clean-up will begin at 2:00 PM. Participants will receive 2 HC Serves Hours. Registration required.
