HC Film Appreciation Series: "MILK" with the LGBTQ+ Collaborative

Join Changemaking Mentor James and Faculty Fellow Trip McCrossin, in collaboration with the LGBTQ+ Collaborative, for a screening of MILK, based on the true story of Harvey Milk, the first openly gay man ever elected to public office. In San Francisco in the late 1970s, Milk becomes an activist for gay rights and inspires others to join him in his fight for equal rights that should be available to all Americans. Catering from Giddy's Pizza & Cafe will be provided.

New Year, New You: A Self-Care Workshop for the Honors Student

Bring in the new year with a fresh perspective with the Changemaking Mentors and Faculty Fellow Doug Cantor at New Year, New You: A Self-Care Workshop for the Honors Student! As Honors students, self care is essential to your wellbeing as you balance all of the roles you play in your lives. Learn self-care methods from experienced Honors College students, participate in activities based around centering yourself when faced with stress, and get the chance to win goodies like bath and body sets and movie night baskets! Free food and refreshments will be provided.

Get to know the Honors College Faculty Fellows at our first-ever Faculty Fellows Roundtable! Learn more about Chloë Kitzinger (Associate Professor of Russian), Kristen Syrett (Professor of Linguistics and Cognitive Science), Nicole Burrowes (Assistant Professor in the Department of History), and Trip McCrossin (Teaching Professor in the Philosophy Department) through an interactive panel and Q&A, and learn how you can connect with the Faculty Fellows during the semester. This program is eligible for 2 Changemaking Points.
