I am Ph.D. student and Teaching Assistant in the French Department at Rutgers University. I hold a combined honors bachelor's degree in English and French from the University of Buea, Cameroon. Prior to joining Rutgers University, I obtained a master’s degree in Chinese translation at Tongji University in Shanghai, China and I also completed a two-year course of teaching Chinese as a foreign language at Shanghai international Studies university in China.
My research interests focus on Montesquieu's political philosophy, with a particular emphasis on its application to China. Additionally, I am interested in colonial and postcolonial literature, especially in relation to themes of migration, memory, trauma, and female authorship. My research also extends to digital humanities, contemporary Chinese poetry, and cultural studies.
