
Libby Helfant (HC '21) is the V.P. of Mentor Development for HCAlly and a current senior. Prior to this role, Libby also served as a First-Year Mentor and Senior Mentor for HCAlly. Libby is majoring in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry and minoring in Cultural Anthropology and is currently working on her honors thesis on transcriptional regulation in E. coli at the Center for Advanced Biotechnology and Medicine. Outside of her studies, Libby is involved in Delta Gamma, in which she has held many leadership positions, and enjoys participating in the Honors College community via involvement as an HCAmbassador. Next year, Libby will continue her studies here at Rutgers University in the Professional Science Master’s program. Libby enjoys baking and cooking, taking walks, and reading when she has the time. Libby is passionate about HCAlly as it helped her so much throughout her college transition, and she wants to ensure that other first year HC students receive the same help and guidance that she did.
