Jessica is a junior in the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences majoring in Biological Sciences and minoring in Spanish. She hopes to attend medical school and pursue a career in psychiatry or geriatrics. This year, she will be a research assistant for Dr. Peter Guaranaccia, who studies Latino mental health. She is also a member of the Office for Diversity and Academic Success in the Sciences (ODASIS) and is in Access Med Phase I. Besides serving as a Mentor in Residence, Jessica is also the president of Senior Smiles, a student organization that volunteers at a local nursing home and hospice.
