Nicholas Offei graduated from the University of Ghana with a BSc in Biochemistry, Cell, and Molecular Biology. After graduation, he spent two years working as a research assistant at the West African Centre for Cell Biology of Infectious Pathogens. Currently, Nicholas is pursuing a doctoral degree in the Cellular and Molecular Pharmacology Program, where he focuses on utilizing genomic technologies to explore how transcription factors influence cell fate decisions.

Outside the lab, he mentors undergraduate students, guiding them through their thesis research and helping them develop professional and research skills. He has also supported students in crafting personal narratives, leading to successful applications to graduate schools. In addition, Nicholas serves as the Director of Education Programs for STEM for Development, a role that allows him to connect with students from across the global south. His volunteer work and training efforts bring him great joy as he watches students grow and develop over time.
