The Honors College Media Team is dedicated to capturing life in the Honors College community through the eyes of its students. Made up of photographers, videographers, graphic designers, writers, and other creative individuals, the Media Team contributes content to the Honors College website, student blog, social media platforms, newsletters, and marketing materials.
Key Initiatives
HC Student Blog — the HC Blog is where students contribute their stories and insights on their Rutgers HC experiences so that other students may learn and benefit to enhance their own HC experience. Stories range from study abroad reflections, research interests, and hobbies, to finding your community and connecting with mentors. Blog posts are curated, edited, and often contributed by media team members.
HC Instagram Page — follow the Instagram account to stay up to date with Instagram takeovers, media campaigns, student profiles, and event coverage.
HC Roving Reporter — produced each semester, these upbeat, seasonally thematic videos are created by first-year students to highlight life in the Honors College community.
HC Event Coverage — media team students cover events through photography, videography, social media, and feature articles, from the LinkedIn headshot photo sessions each semester to Coffeehouse filming, Welcome Week, Geek Week, guest speakers, and more.
HC Creative Projects — media team graphic designers create HC flyers, lead Rutgers Day and other special events like Studio Night, contribute animations to video projects, and lead special projects like the HC Zoom backgrounds and HC coloring book and pages.

Media Team Members
Justin Wang ('29, SAS/EJB/HC) is an Honors College student majoring in Public Policy and Economics. Outside of photography, Justin is interested in all things cities—you'll find him booking last-minute Amtrak trips carrying his camera or talking about planning and economic development. He looks forward to telling your stories through the lens of a DSLR.
William Carney ('27, SOE/HC) is an Honors College student majoring in mechanical engineering with a minor in business administration, aspiring to work in aerospace. Outside of serving as the Co-Lead Photographer in the Honors College Media Team, Will is the Hardware Lead at RUAutonomous, Rutgers’ UAV competition team. Will enjoys travel, reading, and spending time with friends.
Mia Nolan (‘29, SAS/HC) is an Honors College student majoring in Psychology. She is excited to be able to contribute to the Honors College Media Team through videography! In her free time she loves to stay active and spend time in nature, listen to all different kinds of music, and explore all sorts of arts and crafts!
Samantha Domenick ('27, SOE/HC) is an Honors College student majoring in Packaging Engineering. Besides being on the Graphic Design Team of the Honors College Media Team, Sam is the Visual Media Coordinator of A4A, the Accessible-for-All club and nonprofit that modifies toys for kids with disabilities. In her free time, Sam enjoys painting, reading, going to concerts, a good cup of iced coffee, and spending time with her friends and cat.
Ella Chen ('29, MGSA/HC) is an Honors College student majoring in Visual Arts with aspirations of working in the art education industry. She is the Honors and Brett Hall's RHA Engagement Ambassador, as well as involved in clubs like TASA and HARU. She spends her free time crocheting, painting, sleeping, and eating. She is excited to contribute and give back to the Honors College community through graphic design.
Tori He ('26, SAS/HC) is double majoring in Political Science and English and minoring in Mathematics; after graduation, she hopes to pursue a JD in either criminal justice or corporate law. When she is not helping to make illustrations on the Graphic Design team or looking after grade-school kids in RU Pilot Me, she enjoys playing volleyball, drawing, and reading––but most importantly, fawning over her dog, Kermie.
Trisha Yu ('27, SAS/HC) is an Honors College student majoring in history and minoring in French. She aspires to either work in a museum or become a history professor. In addition to serving as the Team Lead for the Honors College Media Team overall and the Co-Lead Writer, Trisha is the secretary of Rutgers Undergraduate Society of History and a peer editor for the Old Queens Undergraduate History Journal. She is also currently teaching a First-Year Honors Seminar course. In her free time, she enjoys drawing, crafting, and reading.
Amber Kurland ('27, SAS/HC) is majoring in Journalism and Media Studies with a minor in Arts Management and Leadership. She is a Scarlet Ambassador, a contributing writer for The Daily Targum, and co-Creative Coordinator for the Livingston Theatre Company. She spends her free time watching TV, listening to music, and reading (especially romcoms). She is excited to be able to contribute to and give back to the Honors College community through writing and social media.
Allison Gandlin ('27, SOE/HC) is pursuing a major in Engineering. She is involved with Rutgers Athletics as a Novice Rower and as a member of the video department for the Rutgers football team. She loves to bike to and from classes and enjoys staying active in intramural sports, particularly volleyball and flag football. She likes to journal, explore philosophy, draw and is a foodie.

Erofili Kanterakis (‘29, SAS/HC) is double majoring in History and Political Science. Outside of the Honors College Media Team, she is involved in the Rutgers Women’s Political Caucus and History Club. In her free time, Erofili loves to read, watch movies, and go on long runs while listening to music.
Joshua John ('28, SAS/HC) is an Honors College student majoring in computer science and data science. In addition to serving as the Technology Lead on the Honors College Media Team, he is also a Learning Assistant, a General Ambassador at the Honors College, and a Figma campus ambassador at Rutgers. In his spare time, Joshua plays the melodica and kalimba, rides his bike across whatever path looks the nicest that day, and tries to meet at least one new person a day.
Hemadharshinii Sendhilvel ('28, SAS/HC) is an Honors and Douglass Residential College student majoring in computer science and cognitive science, with intended minors in data science and business administration. Besides serving as a Graphic Design Co-Lead on the Honors College Media Team, Hemadharshinii is a Talking Across Difference student leader and is actively engaged in many organizations and events across Rutgers. In her downtime, Hemadharshinii enjoys listening to music, crocheting, and consuming all types of media and art.
Edith Zhao ('28, SEBS/DRC/HC) is planning to major in ecology, evolution, and natural resources. Ouside of being the Honors College Media Team's Videography Co-Lead, Edith loves exploring the outdoors, bouldering and rock climbing, poetry, theater, and Lady Gaga. At Rutgers, she is also involved in MANRRS, the Rutgers Climate and Energy Institute, and an ecology lab.
Saanvi Bhuteja ('27, SAS HC) is planning to major in Biological Sciences and Public Health. She aspires to attend dental school after graduating Rutgers to ultimately become an orthodontist. At Rutgers, she is involved in Partners In Health, GlobeMed, Dental Knights Association, and Rutgers University Alternative Breaks. In her free time, she loves to be outside, listen to music, and swim. She is looking forward to being a part of the HC Media Team as a writer!
Demetria Glennon (she/her) (HC ‘27) is an Honors College student majoring in English with a minor in Creative Writing and involvement in a 5-Year Masters Program with the Graduate School of Education to study Elementary Education and K-12 English. In addition to serving as an Honors College Student Leader, Demetria also serves as part of the TEDxRutgers team heading the Speaker Team, a member of Sigma Tau Delta English Honors Society, an instructor with the CSE Department teaching a FIGS class, and as part of an Interdisciplinary Research Team with the Rutgers Geological Museum. In her free time, Demetria enjoys crocheting, reading word search puzzles, cooking/baking, writing, listening to music and watching TV shows/movies.
Ashley Chang ('28, MGSA/HC) is an Honors College student majoring in filmmaking with aspirations of working in the film and marketing industry. Besides serving as Co-Lead Videographer on the Honors College Media Team, Ashley is a member of InterVarsity’s media team and a small group leader. In her free time, Ashley enjoys going on scenic walks, journaling, crocheting, and playing with her cat.
Cecilia Kolenich (‘28, MGSA/HC) is majoring in filmmaking and minoring in arts management and Spanish. She has a background in photography and journalistic videography, so she’s never without a camera. In her free time Cecilia enjoys journaling, running, and editing videos. She can’t wait to make friends while working with the Media Team at Rutgers!

Michelle Rozenfeld (‘29) is an Environmental Policies, Institutions, and Behavior (EPIB) major with a potential minor in Science Communication. She enjoys using writing as a tool to translate complex ideas—whether about climate change, resilience, or policy—into stories that inspire action and connection. Michelle has experience in climate journalism, copyediting, and research communication, and she is excited to bring her passion for clear, engaging storytelling to the Honors College media team.
