Daniel (Danny) DeSio MS, LAT, ATC,  graduated from Rutgers School of Environmental and Biological Sciences with a B.S. in Exercise Science in 2016. He decided to continue his education and earned an M.S. in Athletic Training at Seton Hall University, graduating in 2018. From 2018-2021 he worked as a full time clinician in a multidisciplinary PT clinic and DIII athletics setting. He is currently a fourth year PhD candidate in the Kinesiology and Applied Physiology Graduate Program under the mentorship of Dr. Sara Campbell. His current research is focused on the gut microbiome and how it influences exercise capacity in humans. Outside the lab he has served in multiple officer positions within his department's graduate student organization. He has also served as the Co-chair of the Graduate Research in Interdisciplinary Sciences (GRIB) conference which is an award-winning conference held yearly on campus and run entirely by graduate students. Danny has a strong passion for mentorship and is always excited to help guide future scientists.
