Graduate Mentor Fellow
Alison is a second year Neuroscience PhD student in Dr. Tulsi Patel's lab studying the transcriptional regulation of motor neuron development and how early-life development relates to motor neuron degeneration in late adulthood. Prior to enrolling at Rutgers, she worked at a CRISPR-focused biotech company performing in vitro drug screens for a gene therapy product to treat glaucoma. Her undergraduate background in neuroscience research inspired her to pursue graduate education in neuroscience while making use of her experience in gene therapy. Her interests include reading, hanging out with her cat, and trying new restaurants in the area.
