As an accomplished PhD student at Rutgers University, I specialize in Political Science, focusing on International Relations. Born and raised in Tehran, Iran, I graduated with honors in Mathematics and Physics from high school. I later secured a spot at Allameh Tabatabai University to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management, where I developed a robust foundation in economic, financial, and statistical analysis, complemented by practical experience through diverse internships across the Iranian industry sectors.
By being at the top 0.02 percent in Iran’s national university entrance exam for graduate schools in 2015, my academic quest continued with a Master of Arts in International Relations from the University of Tehran, further honing my research skills and deepening my passion for understanding global political dynamics. My research interests are broad yet interconnected, spanning domestic factors and conflict dynamics, the impact of petrostates on conflict initiation, political psychology, leader survival, and the role of public opinion in foreign policy decision-making.
These interests are underpinned by a rigorous methodological approach, leveraging R, Qualtrics, MLE, Bayesian Modeling, and other statistical analysis techniques. Professionally, I have ventured beyond academia to participate in a Social Impact Management Seminar in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 2019, focusing on action plan design and SWOT analysis. Additionally, my engagement in the Institute for Qualitative and Multi-Method Research at Syracuse University’s Maxwell School
of Citizenship and Public Affairs in June 2023 exemplifies my commitment to methodological excellence.
Currently, as an Excellence Fellow at Rutgers University, I am advancing my research on the intersection of domestic threats to leaders and their inclination toward conflict onset.
