Mugdha Parulekar is a junior majoring in Genetics in the School of Arts and Sciences at Rutgers University. She is interested in the impacts of climate change on the health of vulnerable populations. Mugdha has conducted research through SEBS in food and consumer economics in food insecure areas. She is also working at the Waksman Institute of Microbiology to help extend chloroplast genetic engineering technology to commercially viable crops. Mugdha hopes to find environmentally sustainable practices that enhance quality of life for all people.
