Honors College students pursue a variety of internships with the support of the Rutgers community, University Career Services, and alumni. Following a student's first-year, they are eligible to receive an invitation to the Honors College LinkedIn group to connect with the Honors College network of individuals pursuing various opportunities. In our LinkedIn group, students and Honors College alumni can learn more about how to build portfolios of skills and experiences that will prepare them for careers with purpose.

Students can utilize several resources to research for internships, research opportunities, and part-time positions:

  • Weekly opportunity emails including internships, jobs, networking events, scholarships, competitions, and more sent by our dean of professional development
  • Advising sessions at the Honors College, Pre-Law Advising, Health Professions Office, University Career Services, and academic and program departments throughout campus
  • The RU-NB Honors College LinkedIn Group
  • Annual Summer Planning Workshops in October with our dean of professional development
  • Networking events and programs sponsored by the Honors College including employer info sessions and office hours, site visits, and career conversations, our annual Research Reception, networking events with upperclassmen and alumni, and mentoring partnerships
  • University Career Services and Department/School Career Fairs and Events
  • Handshake, the Rutgers University Career Services recruiting database
