Six HC students were among 14 Rutgers students in all who were invited this October to the Clinton Global Initiative University to share their ideas for social innovation. Dean Matsuda joined the students in Boston for this exciting event!
Among the HC students who attended were members of the HC Innovation Lab teams Nutrivide (left photo L-R, Farhat, Ethan, and Akshay, along with Deandrah from RU) and RFIND (right photo from left, Tristen, Yash, and Maisy, with Nutrivide members and other RU students). Nutrivide is a pacifier-like device to provide nutrients to undernourished newborns. RFIND is a wearable electronic device programmed with personal medical information.
It was an exciting gathering that included Bill Clinton, pictured in the crowd! HC students presented their ideas for social innovation at the CGIU Exchange and networked with industry experts and students from other higher ed institutions. They attended sit-downs and expert panel discussions as well to hear about new solutions for global challenges.
