HC Peak Performance Series: Supporting Neurodiverse Individuals as a Leader

Fri, Oct 08 | 3:00 PM
4:00 PM
Virtual - Zoom

As the prevalence of autism spectrum disorder continues to grow nationally and particularly in the state of New Jersey, our mission at Rutgers is to respond and accommodate the unique needs and diversity of university students on the spectrum. In your role as an Honors College student and leader at Rutgers and in professional pursuits, you will likely encounter many individuals with various disabilities, potentially without knowing. In order to foster inclusivity on campus and beyond, it is our responsibility to know about the various individuals we are collaborating with and to educate ourselves on how to support diverse populations. This training will cover how to develop meaningful relationships and effective communication skills you will need as a leader working with neuro-diverse populations.
