Mr. Stark is calling all Avengers to assemble in the Honors College for a very special Marvel themed evening filled with food and activities, including trivia and mask making! Learn about the Marvel Universe from Rutgers' own: Dr. Charles Keeton will discuss cosmology, Dr. Trip McCrossin will talk about the philosophical implications of evil, and Dr. Matthew Sumpter will speak on the heroes and villains. The evening will come to a close with a screening of "Spider-Man: Homecoming." Mr. Stark hopes to see you there!
With the support of the Class of 1970, the Honors College hosts the annual Class of 1970 Series. This event is part of an ongoing educational series featuring renowned faculty from across the United States in an interdisciplinary discussion about popular science fiction. In its inaugural year, the Class of 1970 series featured a discussion on Star Wars called Star Wars: The Knowledge Awakens. In 2017, the Geek Week at Hogwarts event was focused on the Harry Potter franchise, with conversations around medieval history, philosophy, and chemistry. In 2018, the theme was Marvel comics featuring conversations with experts in astrophysics, philosophy, and graphic novels.
